Redondo Beach

An eclectic beach town with artistic charm

Historic Redondo Beach meshes quintessential beach town appeal with an artistic and laid-back attitude. Located south of Hermosa Beach, this quiet community is attractive to potential homebuyers from all walks of life, including both empty nesters and new parents. Plus, it’s only 20 miles from the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, making big city amenities only a short drive away.

Dining

Redondo Beach is home to numerous outstanding eateries to add to your must-try list. The remarkable Japanese bakery, Kirari West offers a varied selection of gluten-free pastries, gourmet sandwiches, and decadent desserts as well as specialty coffee and tea drinks. For a celebration of Italian cuisine, stop by Bettolino Kitchen. Their modern stylings put a fresh spin on traditional Italian recipes, and all of their pasta is made fresh in-house. Dominique’s Kitchen serves elevated French-Italian fares, such as slow-braised organic chicken Provençal and creamy lobster bisque, with an exquisite wine menu. For drinks on the waterfront, R10 Social House is a local favorite gastropub with a great menu of craft cocktails that pair perfectly with their surf and turf-inspired New American menu—all created from scratch in their kitchen.

Things to Do

This quaint, eccentric beach community also touts a one-of-a-kind shopping experience. Redondo Beach’s lively shopping area Riviera Village hosts live music on the first Friday of every month while shops and art galleries extend their hours until 8 PM for an evening of shopping and entertainment.

Boutique shops like kalihi apparel, Fringe Furniture, and The Catalina Cooking Store’s kitchen wares add texture to Redondo Beach’s shopping selections. On Thursday and Sunday mornings, the Redondo Beach Certified Farmers’ Market hosts local farmers and food vendors so that your kitchen can always be stocked with fresh produce.

Life here feels a lot like paradise. Whether you head to the beach for sunbathing, surfing, and swimming or opt for a day at Seaside Lagoon, there is a myriad of ways to have fun in the sun in Redondo Beach. Get a dose of nature by camping at Hopkins Wilderness Park, or stop by for an afternoon picnic and a stroll by the pond. Historic Redondo Beach Pier hosts summer concerts and movie nights, as well as boat rides in the beautiful blue waters of Santa Monica Bay.

BeachLife Music Festival brings top artists to the stage on the beach’s pristine sands, while Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center showcases local talent and touring productions of musicals, ballets, and plays.
